A weekend in Piteå
In a few minutes, my father and I will leave Jokkmokk for the calm mini-vacation that I have written about in previous posts. For a few days, I will leave all work behind and not do anything else than having a good time. When I return on Monday, it will hopefully be with more energy and fresh inspiration…

I noticed a curious fact about the place you're going to (Piteå).
I was just recently reading a book about an ancient greek adventurer, Pitea from Marseille. He was the first aegean sailor to reach northern regions of Europe, and he described is travel in a book which later was lost. Some fragments of his tale were althought referred by other classical authors.
Pitea was also the first to name the mysterious land of Thule, located in the northern regions.
Perhaps there could be a relation between Pitea and Piteå…
