Heavy snow
The snow keeps on falling, and the temperature is going up. It is currently +1 c, which means that the snow is heavy and wet. It is definitely not my favorite type of weather, and it was not fun to walk to the dentist today…
However, I met my former music colleague Zemya Hamilton (of Clubland) for the first time in several months, and it was a nice surprise. We were in the same band for some time earlier this year, which resulted in some totally wild spontaneous live performances during the practices with me playing classical 90's house piano and Zemya doing amazing improvised vocals. Just for the fun of it, it wasn't really the kind of music that the band was supposed to play. Unfortunately I don't have any of it recorded, and the band project didn't last very long. But I learned a lot from it, and it was a great experience to play some electronic music live again. I miss that.
Now, with the less fun part of todays schedule behind me, I'm looking forward to a good afternoon with regular work indoors. The plan is to deliver two completed projects, and then call it a day!

Snow seems to be a growing in the past few years. I still recall last years heavy snow fall in the north-western part of germany, where in the area of Münster hundreds of households had no more electricity for DAYS. Due to the fact that the snow was as wet and heavy as seldom before the snow simply “lay down†on the overland electric cables all over the area and caused the whole power supply system to break down from one minute to the other. That power failure caused region wide cold households that were depending on their electric heating. At least a dozen of merely old people had to give their lives, because they had no way to call for help early enough.
Yesterday was the first anniversary of that horrible power failure and people in Münster came together in several spots of the city in order to think of the tragedy. I was one of them. But this time there was no snow at all. It was a way too warm day in November, as if November wanted to excuse himself for what he has done one year before.
