New gear for the new year!
Sorry for the lack of updates, for the unanswered e-mails and for the unfinished projects in the last couple of days. The weather in northern Sweden has been a bit chaotic, causing power outages in my local area during the weekend. And in the middle of all this, I've tried to move my entire digital life from one machine to another as I am now taking the step from using a large aluminium tower computer with a heavy CRT screen into using a small 3-kilogram portable laptop machine…
Here is a photo of my new friend, a solid black machine that has no name yet. Since I have a tradition of letting other people name my computers, I'll do it for this one as well. What should I call this machine? My previous computers have been called "Lanjelin" (Intel Pentium 200Mhz with MMX, 1997), "Faron" (AMD Athlon 1,2 gHz, 2001) and "Baygroove" (two different Intel P4 3.0 gHz computers where the second is my current tower box, built in March 2004). The new laptop is a HP NX8220 with a Pentium M 760 (2,0 gHz) cpu. Send me some name suggestions, the more the better!
I'm still not done with the switch so please have some patience for a few more days while I get everything (including the e-mails) on place!
