Listen to Elmo!

9 March, 2007 (21:40) | Music | By: Andreas

My hometown Jokkmokk has never been any big place for upcoming artists. There have been a number of good bands and artists over the years, but very few have reached out to any larger listener base. One of those who have done it is Elmo, a young and talented musician and artist that I've seen live many times when his band performed on the same local events as my band Lagoona. Elmo has recently released his first single "The Anthem" through BD Pop and Bonnier Amigo, and it entered the Swedish singles chart at #19 last week. It is a really nice song, and well worth checking out. You can download the song for free from Jokkmokk.biz or read more about Elmo and his music on his website or on MySpace.

Andreas?! OMG! I just now installed your template in bentrem.wordpress (I've been running my own blogs on my own sites for years) and almost fell on the floor when I saw your name! I haven't peeked your blog but assume you're still doing music.

Such a coincidence: just last night (no, not kidding) I uploaded a 1999 track to my site huh huh …

BTW: I very much like the look of Andreas04. I'm probably going to back it back to 2 column.

Such a small world! *grin*

Design - You website is awful. Where is the content? All I can see is Google ads, very off putting and makes your whole site (and you) look pathetic.

Jason: You are right about that. I filter out all AdSense ads, so I didn't notice the amount of ads. It really looks bad to overload a site with that amount of ads, and it makes the site terrible to view since the ads are placed where you would expect content to be located normally. But still, if you want to give feedback on other peoples websites, it is better to send it directly to them than posting it here.

Advertising Google will be cleaned, it stands while a site young what to earn on a hosting as in the English market we only have started to work. And if to not pay attention to advertising? In the same place 20 clauses about SEO and search system and every day are added on 2 articles. :O(

Like the "broken heart" mp3. Nice one - I think this older demo is better than "the anthem"… just my 2 cents

Ben: Sorry for the delay in approving the comment, it got stuck in Akismet… No, I'm not doing very much music today, but I'm still keeping the music available on this site. And I am seriously considering to use MilkyTracker to finish off some old songs… :)

Nice song you posted there! I recognize many of the classic samples, and I love hearing them. It brings back so many memories, it was great times. Do you have more music available anywhere?
