The free MP3 files in the music section of this site is temporarily offline, since the server where the music is hosted is taken offline for a few days to be moved to a new location. As a little compensation for the downtime, I'd like to offer you something special, a previously unreleased live track:

This song is a 10-minute melodic trance track which was performed live on the Facefront festival in Piteå, Sweden, on March 20th 2005. It was recorded straight out of my on-stage mixer, so none of the talking through the external microphone system was recorded. The gig was broadcasted live on radio as well, but since the radio mix was taken from the main mixing desk the sound was EQ:ed and compressed to sound good on the sound system. This mix sounds better for regular listening, and even though the sound quality is still not in any way perfect it is hopefully good enough for a free track!

Most of the instruments and drums in the song is pre-recorded and played as a backtrack. The live parts (strings, leading melodies, vocoder effects and sound effects) were played on an Access Virus Indigo and a Yamaha AN1x. The original arrangement included arpeggio melodies played with a Novation K-station, but since I ended up being alone on the stage (DJ Isecore was knocked out by fever and a cold) I had to handle everything myself. It didn't work very well, and i only played two of the four songs on my tracklist. The other was "Riders, unite!", and sometime I may release the live version of that song as well…

Edit: The music seems to be online again! But if it would go offline at any time during the next couple of days, it is probably just temporary downtime for server adjustments and maintenance. Once again, huge thanks to Isecore for hosting the tracks!
