The next mission
With the blog and the web design part of the site online in a descent form, the next thing to do is to add the music section. I'm still not sure how to organize it since it is a whole lot of content. As it seems now, there will be 155 free full-length MP3 songs encoded in 128-192kbit, which adds up to a total playing time of 10 hours and 57 minutes. The file size of the entire music collection about 740 megabytes. And then there are related material, such as photos, wallpapers, video clips, scanned magazine articles and a lot of text content (interviews, gig reports, band biography and of course the story behind the songs).
Now, organizing all this is a nightmare job - and that is why I haven't managed to do it in several months! But it is the next thing to do, and once it is done it will make this website a lot larger than it is today! I will probably need to try out a few different ways to do it before I find a way that works well. Again, the site will be a mess while I do this. But I hope that it will be worth it.
