Nautica05 released!
14 May, 2006 (22:21) | Template news, Webdesign | By: Andreas
Aran and Pat has done it again! A new open source website template called Nautica05 has been released on the Studio7Designs website, and it is both pretty and professionally coded. As an added bonus, the template includes several layout variations - including form styling. Nice work, as always! It will be interesting to see what comes up next…

Hey great!
I was doing my daily visit to your site Andreas and saw the post and that made my day :)
Thanks SO much for the support ( heh did you see my link to you in the template? )
Ill be updating the template a tiny bit as we are still de-bugging a bit ( safari problems with the contact form and some onfocus="blur()" issues with javascript possible
Cheers
Aran

What ? Am I right in thinking that this template uses a frameset ? I thought that idea was as dead as a DoDo. Any way, the Studio7 download link doesn't seem to be working, so can't have a detailed look.
==========================================
By the way, Andreas. Are there any problems with your new site desiagn ? In recent days, whenever I make my daily visit to your site, I get a corrupted display. If you want I can do a screen dump and let you have it (please email me). Oh, and by the way. Using IE 6.0 and also Maxthon browsers gives the same result.

aran: Yes, I saw the link. Why do you think I'm supporting you? ;) However, you need to fix is the footer link colors. The contrast between the link and the background is too low, which makes the links disappear on many screens (including one of mine). And if it doesn't disappear, it is still difficult to read.
Gordon: No, the frame is a part of the Studio7Designs template viewer. The download link works for me. But since aran has just read my response he will read yours too so if there is an error he will fix it. I haven't seen any errors on my own site, and noone has reported it before. Please send a screenshot (i'll send you an e-mail as well) so I can see what happens.

wow, it's just stunning, too bad it doesn't come with the three column demo version. By the way, amazing job at studio7designs!

aran: Has anyone started building a WordPress theme of N05 yet? If not, I'll do it if you promise to support it.

Dandya Im really glad you used the updated version as the beta was not for any public use at all, just testing purposes.
Andreas, I hope you use the latest public release of nautica05 for your wordpress ( available now ) as the beta is not to be used publicly
cheers

@Andreas - I hope you will be doing some sort of sub-page navigation for this theme?
And will the front-page be 3-columns or two? I looked and dandyna's, and it just looked way too crowded

Hey Andreas, looks like your taking a couple of days off :)
You can see the final Nautica05 now on studio7designs :) Please use that one for the wordpress and please note that Pat wanted his link taken off the footer as he only helped out with the coding as a favor and he told me to take it off as he didnt want to much credit for the layout or anything other then a sidebar thanks
Cheers
