WordPress themes updated
I've made a number of updates and changes to my two public themes for WordPress, and both 1024px and WP-Andreas01 has been given version numbers 1.5.

Most changes are bug fixes. But I have also made some minor adjustments to the template files, and added some things that have been missing. For example, both themes now have the calendar in the sidebar by default. If you don't want it, just remove it. With the WordPress widgets plugin you can build your own sidebars easily, since both themes support the plugin.
I have also added the comment display in 1024px so you can see the number of comments for each post, and a default "Home" link at the top of the pages menu. In WP-Andreas01 I removed the thin gray lines between the main content and the sidebars, and I made the sidebar header text a bit smaller. The sidebar padding that caused a visual bug in IE6 should hopefully be fixed now. I haven't tested this yet since I don't have IE6 on my laptop, but I'll check it tomorrow on Johanna's computer to make sure it is fixed.
Swedish theme translations
Another new thing is that I will make Swedish translations of these themes available on Jokkmokk.biz. WordPress has a localization feature, and themes can be built in a way that makes them easy to translate to different languages, but I have chosen to not prepare my themes for localization yet. I will probably do it in the future, but as long as I keep on changing and updating the themes on regular basis, they can only be translated by rewriting the template files manually. I'll try to collect all translations soon, when my new site design goes online and I start adding more content to this site. Feel free to send me links to translated versions at anytime to make my work easier!
Comments can be only posted for 14 days after the post date. If you have comments about an older post such as this one, feel free to send me an e-mail!

What a coincidence, I just used 1024px as the basis for a Textpattern driven site.
You can see it at http://phpxref.com
Will the updates/bugfixes propagate over to the template?
Thanks for your work.

hcgtv: Yes, I will try to keep the template versions up to date with the theme versions. The version system is not very well organized, but I'll do my best to improve it when I launch the new site design.
I am actually going to update ALL templates soon, to fix bugs and add some new features. For example, I will make sure that all navigation menus are list-based, so andreas02 (just to give an example) will get major improvements soon. However, for 1024px, most changes that I made was in the WordPress theme code. Except for the new CSS formatting, the design is mostly the same.
Look back at the end of next week. Most new versions should be online by then.

Hi,
Just want to say I love your work. I actually just sent you an e-mail requesting you port andreas02 over to WP only to read here you are already do so. Doh!
As for orgainising your themes go it's not too bad atm, why not orgainse by design > cms / template options for download underneath?
Thanks and keep up the great work

Andreas: I've decided on using Andreas01 on my blog, so I'll wait until the new template is released.
I figure between 1024px and Andreas01, I should be able to launch either varied sites with no problem.
When I have them tweaked just right, I'll release them as Textpattern templates.

I am using your theme and like it very much. I have translated it in French and I'm quite willing to give you the files if you like.
The only problem I have is the Search box that doesn't appear on the site. Maybe I did something wrong?
I have tried to add a search widget, but it returns a parse error when I use it…

The updated version of your new Wordpresss template looks so awsome, not that your first one did not rock by any means. Thanks for the Wordpress Widgets link was wo dering where to get them from.

Andreas: Widgets are really good and are also relatively easy to an existing theme. Even so good that you made them for widgets.
