New template: Basic Minimal

Post 161 of 262

A new free website template has been published: Basic Minimal. It is a simple and, as the name implies, minimalistic design which makes use of a custom @font-face and some CSS3 text-shadows. The layout uses two columns, with a third column left empty to display the background image. This allows for some creative design experiments which I will probably do in the future as alternate versions of the template.

Basic Minimal is available in two versions, one version with a grey background, blue links and a left sidebar, and another version with a white background, a right sidebar and purple links. To download Basic Minimal, use the links below the screenshot:

The font does not seem to work in the live demo (IE8, FF3.6, GC). It works if I run it locally.

Fixed now! The @font-face had links to the font files where the file names started with an uppercase letter, while the actual files had all lowercase file names. I updated the CSS for both versions of the template, and it appears to work better now. Thanks for finding the error!
