A second version of Basic Presentation template has been released, with small but requested modifications: The sidebar has been moved to the right, slightly different colors and and the 4-column feature section left out. The alternate version does not include the two .PSD files, so the .zip download size is much smaller than the original Basic Presentation template (61 Kb rather than 935 Kb).

Another week means another new template release. Today I am introducing the Basic Presentation template, a simple 2-column layout with an optional 4-column feature area in the main content section. The design of Basic Presentation relies on a big background picture and a header image, along with two strong accent colors. For the images, two .PSD source files are included in the template .zip to make customization easier.
Below is a screenshot of Basic Presentation, click the image to download the template directly (935 Kb .zip). As usual, there is also a live demo that you can view.

A new template has been released: Multi Options. As the name implies, it is a template which gives you a lot of options in multiple ways. Using CSS classes attached to the <body> tag, you can choose from a number of different layout widths, fonts and colors. In total, Multi Options offers more than 250 different designs through combinations of the body classes, and only a few words need to be added to the HTML to try a new combination. A tutorial on how to do this will be posted soon, but the included examples (18 designs) should be easy to learn from.

The two versions of the Basic Profile template that I released recently has got great reactions and lots of positive feedback. Inspired by the nice comments, I have created a third version of the Basic Profile template: Basic Profile (fluid). As the name implies, it has a layout that adjusts to the width of the browser window (up to a max-width of 1560 pixels). I have moved the logotype to the header, the navigation menu to below the header and added a 3-column layout option through two new classes, class=”left” and class=”right” – similar to how I have done in other templates in the past. The beautiful icons from the (alt) version are included in the (fluid) version as well, but changed to a blue color. I know that I already have way too many blue templates in the my template gallery, but I couldn’t resist making another one. The lovely thing about the Basic Profile template and the icons it includes, is that you can modify the icons to any color you want to. See this tutorial for instructions on how to do it.

A new template has been released, and it comes in two versions: Basic Profile. It is a simple 2-column layout with space for a large logotype and a navigation menu that gives you the option to include a short description of each menu option. The original version is very basic with a sidebar and a main content area. The alternate version adds a header area, a second navigation menu layout and a set of icons that fits the design very well. Check it out, and look out for the upcoming tutorial post on how to create your own icon set in any color you want!
