The artica wordpress theme looks great. Is there a possibility of changing the background colour in the setting? Am just wondering if it'd be possible to keep a white background rather than black. I'm sure the purple header colours would still look good.

Great tutorial Andreas! I am trying out the example you generously provide in this tutorial, and am sad to say the link to Part 3 appears to be broken! I really hope it is not too hard to restore.

Your templates are excellent..Btw I need to know what makes a template become seo friendly. Is it mainly because of the template itself or it would be because of the script? Thanks.

I have also just discovered that adding the property background-attachment:fixed; into the body in the stylesheet fixes the background image misalignment issue.

I love this template! A very versatile layout. I've found one issue though: When the browser window is narrower than the #layout div and you scroll to the right side of the page, the background image is misaligned and the content is appears to be floating past the edge.

Here is the solution I found. It *may* not be valid CSS, I don't know (I am not a web design professional).

In the stylesheet, add a background color of #fff to the #layout div, and set the top and bottom margins to 0. This, in effect, "hides" the misaligned image.

#layout {background:#fff; margin:0 auto 0 auto; width:960px;}

As I said, I do not know if this is a valid way to solve the issue. Please feel free to let me know if it is not.

Thank you.

Dear Andreas

I have just come across your gallery-alt template through the use of Style Master.

I have been playing about a little and added GIF images (thumbnail and large versions) to the HTML page of a mount (matt) which has the window (opening) set as the transparent colour. When I view the webpage and select the mount the window is indeed transparent.

What I would like to do when the mount thumbnail image is clicked, is for the large mount image to display over the top of the image (layer? Z order?) which is currently in the main window so that the whole of that image would show through (behind the mount but through the mount window. Eventually I would add extra mount images of different colours to view my photographs in different coloured mounts. Even perhaps show the effect of a double mount etc.

I wondered if this was possible and if you would be able to give me some ponters towards how to begin. Incidentally, only in the last week or so have I become interested (and excited) in the use of CSS.

I wold like to thank you for your free template (I am reading your tutorials also).

With best regards
Trevor (UK)
