Testing WordPress 3.2 (beta 1)

The first beta version of WordPress 3.2 has been released. I have been testing it for a while now, and even though it is in beta I find it to be really nice. I have written about the distraction-free editor in a previous post, but it is only one out of several changes and new features.

Some of the other news include performance updates, a new default theme (twentyeleven, see screenshots here), a new look for the administration area and an official exclusion of support for Internet Explorer 6. For more details and to download WordPress 3.2 beta 1, go to WordPress.org.
