Description:
The positive feedback for my recent mobile-friendly single column templates, I wanted to make a template that could work well on small-screen devices while also being possible to view on regular computer screens. A website visitor asked me if I could make a darker template with a navigation menu that had space for a short description of each link, so I gave it a try. Variant Mobile uses a fluid width that adjusts itself for low-resolution displays, with a max-width of 960 pixels that should be acceptable on larger screens. It also has a body background to provide some color, and a somewhat larger body text than usual. Beside the original XHTML 1.0 Strict version, I also created a HTML5 version – my first free HTML5 template. An alternate version with a light colorscheme and a 2-column layout is also available as a separate download.
