This text was written to help avoid common misunderstandings and to make sure that you contact the right person. If you write an e-mail based on any of the misunderstandings explained in this text or if you contact me even though this text explains that you should be contacting someone else, then be prepared that you may not get any reply. Because of bad experiences from misunderstandings in the past, I reserve the right to publish any e-mail sent to me in violation to this text on my blog, if it is needed to avoid problems and future misunderstandings.
First of all, if you have a question about usage rights, copyrights and licenses for the website templates or the MP3 music, please read my copyright information page. It should answer the most common questions! And second, I get more e-mail than I can handle. I do read every single message I get and I appreciate and evaluate all feedback. But as much as I would want to, I am not able to reply to all e-mails. I apologize for that, and I do my best to reply to as many e-mails as I can while at the same time improving the website to provide answers to the most common questions.
And third, please notice that I am a website template designer. If you came to this site through a Design by Andreas Viklund link on some other website on some other domain, then that other site is most likely based on one of my free website templates or WordPress themes. That does not mean that I own or run that other site, or even know anything about it. All it means is that the owner of that site has used one of my templates for the site design. Hundreds of thousands of websites all over the world are built with my designs, and if you have any comment about any one of those sites you should contact the site owner instead of contacting me. I can never answer for anyone else’s work or anyone else’s content. I can only answer for my own website, my own content and my own work.
Please note that this is also valid for blogs and websites hosted on wordpress.com, where two of the user-selectable themes (Andreas04 and Andreas09) were originally based on my free website templates with the same names and therefore I am credited as the original designer. If you are seeking support for an WordPress.com issue, you need to contact the blog owner or the wordpress.com support crew. If you want to know more about the original versions of the two themes, see the links for the themes on my WordPress themes page.
And finally, it is also important to understand that I do not agree with everything that people write on websites which use my design work. With so many sites online, there are naturally also many controversial and even illegal websites which use my designs. As much as I dislike that, there is nothing I can do to prevent it. It happens to almost all template designers sooner or later. Of course the same important fact applies to those sites as well: I am not the correct person to contact, since I can only speak for my own site and my own content. But if anyone would want (or need) to know what I think about various topics, I am happy to answer any question you may have if it can help avoiding misunderstandings. Just ask, and don’t judge me until you know my answer, thanks!
