Get started with @font-face

Post 180 of 262

With the release of Variant Creative (alt) template, I have started using embedded fonts using @font-face. Only a few hours after the template was uploaded, I got a request to write more about how to embed fonts in a template or a website. I will definitely do that, and I am actually already writing on a series of tutorials that will include this topic. But in order to get a quick explainer out I want to recommend this video tutorial which gives a quick introduction to @font-face using a fontface kit from FontSquirrel.

For a longer text-based introduction, take a look at this tutorial written by another template designer, Tjobbe Andrews. If you have specific questions, post it in the comments and I’ll do my best to reply.
